If you experience sharp pain or numbness on this test you may need to consult with an Active Life coach before proceeding with Bulletproof Shoulders. It may not be the best solution for you.


Assessment Standards

  • Perform before and after you warm up
  • This assessment, like other things, is better with a partner

Range of Motion Standards

  • Biceps to ears
  • Space between shoulders and ears
  • Arms cover ears from the side
  • Pain free

Question: Why test before and after warming up?
Answer: If range of motion improves as you warm up there is a good chance we can permanently improve your range of motion with a Bulletproof Program. If range of motion stays the same or gets worse when you warm up, you need to contact Active Life coaches.

Question: I feel pain during the assessment. Is it cool to do some heavy thrusters and handstand push ups to work out the kinks?
Answer: Not cool at all. Contact Active Life coaches.

Question: I failed this test. Should I do kipping pull ups?
Answer: Probably not. You should contact Active Life coaches.

Question: My shoulders hurt but I passed this test. What should I do?
Answer: Great question. It's possible you have a strength balance issue but we need more info to be sure. Contact Active Life coaches.
